Third Rotation was Knit, nothing like the knitting i was used to with needles knitting on machines was a lot harder than i expected it to be. I went in with very high hopes only to come out by about the third day of using the knitting machines full of a lot of doubts as to how i was going to manage getting the knit samples done. I had a break through one Thursday and managed to get a decent sample, it then gave me the motivation for the coming week which i successfully managed to get some great work out of. Obviously the work could be better, but to pick something up in two weeks and perfect it is almost impossible, so I tried to come close enough..
The techniques we were learning day by day were great, no one ever got it right the first time, many broke needles, dropped stitches, or whole pieces of work, or you could have just repeatedly break a machine like i did. I decided to use a wider knit for the majority of my work as thicker yarns worked better with my work, and personally with the colour palettes and techniques i chose i don't think they'd have looked the same on a small knit machine, plus it would have jammed my work by the thickness of my yarns.
Anyway here's some images of pieces i did from my time in knit (un-mounted)
